The stipend for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) generally ranges from Rs 31,000 to Rs 35,000 per month, with a duration initially offered for 2 years and extendable up to 5 years depending on performance and research progress.
After completing 2 years as JRF, candidates can be promoted to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), with a stipend generally higher than JRF, ranging from INR 35,000 to INR 45,000 per month.
