In documents, you have to bring only a current, valid passport is accepted as identification at the exam center. Your identification will be checked upon arrival at the IELTS test center. It is necessary throughout the test, which involves the listening/reading, writing, and speaking parts. It is also the only form of identification accepted throughout the registration process for IELTS test candidates. The proof of identity document you gave for the IELTS Exam 2025 should match the one you gave when applying for the test. - These photographs are necessary if the photograph on your registration form is confusing. If this occurs, you will be compelled to submit another photograph during the initial ID check on the day of the test.
- Print the confirmation email that the British Council sends to your registered email address when you register for the IELTS exam . This paper is stamped at the start of the listening, reading, writing, and speaking tests.
- A black or blue ballpoint pen, several pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener.
- A small, clear 500-ml water bottle with no label. Still, at other centers, this may not be necessary because standards already exist for providing test participants with drinking water/refreshments and other essentials.
- Apart from the materials mentioned above, nothing else is necessary to be brought to the test centers.

IELTS Exam Day Guidelines
The following are the guidelines that must be maintained to uphold proper conduct and ensure the procedure proceeds smoothly:- Cheating, copying another applicant's work, or disturbing the test is strictly prohibited.
- It is not permitted to use a dictionary, pager, spell checker, electronic recorder, or mobile phone.
- Once inside the test room, you can not lend or take anything from anyone else.
- Supervisors are not authorized to assist you with any of the test questions.
- Once the test begins, you must not speak to or interfere with the other applicants.
- Smoking and eating are prohibited in the examination room.
- You must not copy any component of the test otherwise, your test results will be withheld, and you may face punishment.
- You are not permitted to take test papers, answer sheets, working papers, or other test materials outside of the test center.
- You cannot leave the test room without the permission of a supervisor.

Q1 - What documents are required for IELTS exam day?
Ans - Arrive early to enable adequate time to check in and complete the required security and registration processes. Bring your ID (a valid passport or national identity card). You must present the same identification that you provided on your IELTS application form.

Ans - Bringing food inside the test room is prohibited. If the water is in a clear (transparent) bottle, you are allowed to bring it inside the test room.

Ans - In other words, there is no dress code for the IELTS Speaking test. When you are comfortable during the test, you will concentrate on displaying to the examiner your English skills. You do not need to wear a full suit and tie to your IELTS speaking test if you feel at ease and confident in it.
