WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2025: WBCS Notification 2025, along with the online registration schedule, was released on 14th November 2025, and online registration starts on 18th November 2025 at the official website of https://wbpsc.gov.in/. As per the schedule last date to apply online is 9th December 2025. 

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will release the WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2025 under the detailed notification. The applicants need to carefully review the WBCS Eligibility Criteria and ensure they fulfill them. The eligibility criteria consist of various factors including educational qualification, nationality, age requirements, and physical measurement. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination if they do not meet the essential eligibility norms.

WBCS Eligibility Criteria Age Limit

The age requirements for various jobs have been specified by the West Bengal Public Service Commission and are broken down into four groups: Groups A, B, C, and D. Also, the WBCS age limit 2025 (category-wise) is governed by distinct laws.

The nationality of the applicant plays a significant role in the recruiting process, in addition to the WBCS age limit and other requirements. The following requirements must be met by candidates:

WBCS Physical Requirements for Police Service

Before submitting an online application, candidates must ensure they meet the physical standards and the WBCS age limitation, among other relevant characteristics. Male and female applicants must meet a certain height requirement as part of the WBCS physical standard.

 The WBCS Group B (Police Service) height requirement for male applicants is 1.65 meters, while the minimum height requirement for female applicants is 1.50 meters. WBPSC Post Special Condition
Assistant Canal Revenue Officer Will have to work in remote areas and their jurisdiction will cover a large number of villages. Will be required to attend Tehsil and Zilla Offices on a bicycle for transport.
West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service In homes of the blind/deaf/dumb- degree or Diploma or Certificate in the training of Blind and / or Deaf and Dumb shall be an essential qualification
West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade – I Has good working knowledge of the Bengali Language, written and spoken. Candidates with Nepali as their mother tongue will need to pass a departmental examination in Bengali in two years. Shall be appointed provisionally and shall undergo a period of six months’ in-service training. The training includes subjects such as cadastral survey, preparation of records-of-rights, revenue laws, elementary instructions in all other laws relevant to the service. Candidates who fail to pass the end of the Training Examination shall be liable to be discharged without notice.
Important Condition Male candidates will be unsuitable for the posts meant for institutions for females. Female candidates will be unsuitable for the posts meant for institutions for males.
