ISRO Scientist/Engineer Application Fees 2025

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 250/- for all posts. However, initially, all candidates have to pay Rs. 750/- per application as a processing fee, which is refunded only to those candidates who appear in the written test as under:

• (i) Rs. 750/- i.e, refund in full for women, SC/ST/ PwBD, Ex-Servicemen.
• (ii) Rs. 500/- i.e., after deducting the Application Fee for all other candidates.

Candidates must satisfy the specific eligibility criteria set by the ISRO ICRB to apply for the Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts. A detailed eligibility norm is discussed below:

• Educational Qualification: Full-time B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication / Mechanical / Computer Science Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
• Age Limit: The upper age of applicants should not exceed 28 years as on 16th June 2025. However, age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per the government norms.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Selection Process 2025

The ISRO Scientist/Engineer Selection Process consists of a Written Test and an Interview, as explained below:

1. Written Test: The written examination will be objective-based consisting 100 questions having two parts: Part ‘A’ – Area/Discipline Specific part - Consists of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each (+1 and -1/3 pattern of marking) and Part ‘B’ - Aptitude/Ability Tests – Consists of maximum 15 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) totaling to 20 marks (No negative marks). 
2. Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the written test will be shortlisted for an Interview in a 1:5 ratio, to assess the candidate's technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and suitability for the role.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Salary 2025

Candidates appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in ISRO will be placed in Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a minimum basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- p.m. In addition to the prescribed pay scale,  Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc., will be paid as per the Central Government orders.
