GATE 2026 Branches: The Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering for the forthcoming academic year 2026 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati. As per the official GATE Notification 2026 , the exam will be held for 30 different branches of Engineering/Technology, Science, and Humanities. This year, the authorities have introduced new branch ENERGY SCIENCE (XE-I).
The online registration process for the various branches of GATE 2026 will start on August 28, 2025 onwards at the official portal, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Aspirants who wish to apply for this highly esteemed entrance examination can choose their preferred branches from the total number of 30 GATE 2026 branches.
