If you are from one of the countries listed above, here is what you need:

Here is what you should keep ready to upload while filling the form:
If you already finished your degree: your degree certificate, provisional certificate, course completion certificate, or a certificate from a recognised body.
If you are still studying: a Provisional Certificate Letter signed by your Head of Institute, Dean, Registrar, or HOD, or the Section A mark card for AMIE students.
If you have a disability: a PwD certificate from a recognised authority. The fee discount is only for those with 40% disability or more.
If you have backlogs (failed subjects): your final-year mark sheet from your college — not a copy downloaded from the internet.
If you are from the SC/ST category: a valid certificate to get the fee discount.
If you have dyslexia: a certificate showing this, so you can get help from a scribe during the exam.
Remember, all these documents must be uploaded online through the application form. They cannot be sent by post.
If your degree is from a university outside India, slightly different rules apply:
Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology: you should have finished, or be in the final year of, a course that is at least 4 years long.
Master's in a related science subject: you should have finished, or be in the final year of, a course that is at least 2 years long.
If you clear GATE, you can get admission into M.Tech courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and some other top colleges. But the process is not the same everywhere. For IITs, you apply through COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal), which is separate from the GATE form.
For NITs, IIITs, and a few other colleges, you apply through CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech). It helps to know both processes early, since they run on different schedules.
