GATE 2027 Exam Date Daily Shift Timings

The 3-hour objective test will take place across two separate shifts each day. The exam covers 30 total test papers, and candidates can opt for up to two papers based on approved combinations.

• Forenoon Session (FN): 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM

• Afternoon Session (AN): 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM

While the definitive, itemized paper calendar is released closer to the admit card rollout date, high-volume papers generally follow standard scheduling patterns:

• Weekend 1 (Feb 6–7): Computer Science (CS), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Instrumentation (IN), and Electrical Engineering (EE) allocations.

• Weekend 2 (Feb 13–14): Civil Engineering (CE), Electronics and Communication (EC), Chemical Engineering (CH), and primary Sciences streams.

GATE 2027 Admit Card is expected to be released in January 2027 through the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal. Candidates who complete the application process will be able to download their hall tickets by logging in with their Enrollment ID/Email ID and password.

GATE 2027 result is scheduled to be announced on 19th March 2027 (Friday). Candidates will be able to check their scorecards on the GOAPS portal using their enrolment ID and password once results are declared.
