COAP Counselling is the centralized offer acceptance process for GATE-qualified candidates seeking M.Tech admissions in participating IITs and IISc, as well as recruitment opportunities in participating PSUs. The counselling process begins after the declaration of the GATE results and allows candidates to view, compare, accept, reject, or retain offers received from different institutes through a single portal.
Candidates with a valid GATE 2027, 2026, 2025, or 2024 score can register for COAP. However, registration on COAP alone does not complete the admission process. Candidates must also apply separately to every IIT, IISc, or PSU they wish to join, as COAP only displays offers and does not accept admission applications.
The table below provides a quick overview of the GATE COAP Counselling process, including the registration schedule, eligibility, counselling mode, and official website.
