GATE COAP Counselling 2026:  IISc Bangalore will begin the COAP 2026 Round 1 counselling process on May 11, 2026. Candidates participating in this round can choose from the following options: Accept & Freeze or Reject. Please note that the Retain & Wait option will not be available in Round 1.

As the GATE Result 2026 has been declared by IIT Guwahati on March 19, the online registration for GATE COAP Counselling 2026 started from 27 March 2026. The full form of COAP is Common Offer Acceptance Portal, which serves as a centralized platform that allows GATE-qualified candidates to review and accept admission offers for M.Tech programs from participating IITs and IISc, as well as job offers from Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). While COAP facilitates the decision-making process, candidates must apply separately to individual institutes or PSUs, as COAP itself is not an application portal.

The registered candidates will be allowed to access the admission /job offers by the participating institutes / PSU's where they have applied. Candidates will be facilitated to choose the accept and freeze, retain and wait & reject and wait as per their choice to get admission to the desired institute. GATE COAP Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants must ensure that they carefully review the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the COAP Registration 2026 process. Step 1: COAP Registration 2026 - Obtaining COAP ID and Password

• Visit the COAP Registration 2026 Portal and click on "Register" for new registration.
• Enter the details of the GATE paper(s) and click "Register Now."
• Applicants can add more GATE papers by adding a new row.
• Ensure at least one GATE Paper registration number is provided for COAP registration.
• Additional GATE papers can be added later, post-registration.

Step 2: COAP 2026 Login and Dashboard

• Upon successful registration, applicants can log in using their COAP ID and password.

Step 3: Adding more GATE papers, if applicable

• Under the login, navigate to "Applicant Details" to add rows for additional GATE papers.

Step 4: Final Submission

• It is highly advised to review the entered details thoroughly and click "Final Submit" when satisfied.
• Note that the data cannot be modified further after final submission.
