Various payment methods, such as UPI, wallets, debit cards, credit cards, and net banking are accepted. It's important to note that the registration fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted towards any other fees.

CCMT 2026 Registration Fees
Category Fees
GEN/EWS/OBC Rs. 3000
SC/ST/PwD Rs. 2500
  • Step 3: Online choice filling and locking

Once registration and fee payment are successful, candidates can fill and lock their preferred choices of programmes. The list of eligible programmes offered by various PIs (Participating Institutes) will be available in the candidate's CCMT login.

Candidates can freely change, reorder, delete, and add their choices based on preference within the given time period. It's important to note that after locking the choice list or when the deadline for choice filling is over, candidates will not be able to add, delete, or reorder their choices.

  • Step 4: Seat Allotment

During the online CCMT Counselling process process, seats will be allocated to candidates based on their GATE scores and the choices they made during the CCMT counselling in 2026. The seat allotment will be done in a sequential order.

Candidates can check the result of the seat allotment by logging into their CCMT 2026 candidate portal online. It's important to know that there will be three rounds of seat allotment, and any remaining vacant seats from previous rounds will be filled through a special round of counselling.

  • Step 5: Seat Acceptance Fee Deposits

Students who are assigned seats during the seat allotment round must pay the seat acceptance fees online. This payment is necessary to secure the allotted seat. The fee details for seat acceptance in CCMT counseling 2026 are as follows:

  • Step 6: Physical Reporting at the CCMT Reporting Centre

After receiving a seat and paying the fees, students must go to the nearest reporting center. They need to bring their original documents and copies for verification. An authorized person will check the documents and keep the copies. If everything is fine, students will receive a verification slip.

After getting a seat and paying the fee, students need to specify their willingness for the allotted seat. They have the following options to choose from:

  • Floating : If students want to be considered for better options in the next round while keeping their current seat, they can choose "Floating."
  • Sliding: If students only want to be considered for better options within the same institute in the next round, they should choose "Sliding."
  • Freezing: If students are happy with their current seat and don't want to be considered for any better options in future rounds, they can select "Freezing."

Note: If the allotted seats are better preferred choices for students who have selected Floating or Sliding, they are required to give up the seats they were previously assigned.

  • Step 7: Physical Reporting of Candidate at the CCMT Allotted Institute

After the national upgradation round, students need to visit the institute they have been allocated to, following the schedule provided. They will receive a provisional allotment letter, which they can download from their CCMT 2026 candidate portal.

When reporting to the allotted institute, students must bring the document verification slip received from the reporting center and the downloaded provisional allotment letter.
