IIT Kanpur M.Tech Placements-
IIT Kanpur is among one of the top-notch technological institution in country offers a variety of courses of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The students studying in the final semester can participate in the placement drives to seek a great career exposure in working the premier companies. M.Tech is the highly preferable choice among students to explore the well established career path. The institute also provides unparalleled placements to students in a range of top companies.
During the 2022–2023 placement season, the college has successfully finished Phase 1. 1128 students have accepted job offers, with 208 of them being pre-placement offers. More than 250 organizations participated in the IIT Kanpur placement drive 2022-23, with 5+ startups participating in phase 1 campus hiring and offering 1200 jobs.
During the IIT Kanpur placements, 74 international offers were also made. The highest domestic salary package granted by IIT Kanpur is Rs 1.9 crores. During the IIT Kanpur placements 2022-2023, 33 offers worth more than INR 1 crore were received from various foreign and national organizations. The IIT Kanpur placement process is described in detail below.
The Institute has yet to provide official statistics for the 2023 drive. Previously, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur completed phase I of the final placements 2022 on December 15, 2021, according to the official placement report.
Furthermore, at the end of phase I, the institute got a remarkable 47 international offers. The top international package was more than INR 2 crore per year, whereas IIT Kanpur's highest domestic package was INR 1.20 crore per year. IIT Kanpur M.Tech Placement Process
The placements to M.Tech students are offered at IIT Kanpur following the process mentioned below:
Students must register on the Recruitment Automation System (RAS) with the Point of Contact (PoC), which is assigned by students' placement offices or placement coordinators.
Students must complete a Job Announcement Form (JAF)/Internship Proforma (IP) and provide their profile information.
The PoC team posts job/internship positions on the portal after they have been verified.
Following that, students must post their resumes to the RAS.
Companies conduct their PPT and tests/screening process with the mutual cooperation of the placement team.
Students who have been selected based on their resumes must attend the interview procedure.
At the end of the interview, a list of selected and waitlisted candidates is released following the screening procedure.
Finally, offer letters are distributed to selected students.
