Highest Historic Registration in JEE Mains 2025: NTA has concluded the JEE Main 2025 registrations for Session 1 on November 22, 2024. For the upcoming academic year, the exam has set a new record for the highest number of applicants in history. Over 13.8 lakh students have registered for the January session, marking an increase of 1.6 lakh compared to last year’s 12.21 lakh registrations.
The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will take place in two shifts daily between January 22 and January 31, 2025. While the registration process started slowly due to various reasons such as festival holidays, Aadhaar card name mismatches, and issues with OBC and EWS category details, things changed significantly after these challenges were addressed by NTA. The exam conducting authority released comprehensive JEE Main FAQs 2025 , which helped resolve many aspirants’ concerns. By the end of the registration process for JEE Main 2025 Session 1, the total number of applications increased noticeably, reaching approximately 13.8 lakh. The next important step for JEE Main 2025 aspirants is the application correction window, which will be active on 26th and 27th November. During the JEE Main 2025 Application Correction Window , which will be for two days, applicants can correct most of the details in their submitted application forms. However, certain fields, such as mobile number, email ID, current and permanent address, emergency contact details, and photographs, cannot be edited. Applicants can modify details like their name, parents' names, Class 10 and 12 information, PAN card details, exam city, exam medium, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, signature, and subject choices. This correction opportunity is only available once, so it's important to review all changes carefully. The JEE Main 2025 application correction process may require an additional fee in specific cases, such as:- Category Change: If applicants switch their category from reserved, such as SC/ST/Girls/PwD, to general or OBC-NCL, they will need to pay an additional fee.
- Opting for Multiple Papers: If an applicant initially registered for one paper but decides to opt for multiple papers during the correction window, extra charges will apply based on the number of papers selected.
- Exam City Preference Change: Changing the exam city preference to an international location will be subject to an additional fee.

Applicants who need to correct errors in their JEE Main 2025 application form can follow these simple steps on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in:- Log In: Visit the official JEE Main 2025 website and log in using your registration number and password.
- Access Correction Link: After logging in, click on the “JEE Main Correction in Application Form 2025” link available on the dashboard.
- Read Instructions: Carefully review the guidelines provided and proceed to the correction window.
- Make Corrections: Edit the required details in your application form. Ensure all changes are accurate and thoroughly reviewed.
- Submit and Pay Fee: Once corrections are made, click “Submit” and pay any applicable correction fees, if required.
- Print Confirmation: Download and print the updated application form. Keep it safe for future reference during the admissions process.
