Knowing the JEE Advanced qualifying marks is important because falling short of the required subject-wise or aggregate marks can mean you are not included in the rank list, even after appearing for the examination. You therefore need to know the minimum marks required in each subject as well as the overall qualifying marks for your category.
For JEE Advanced 2027, the qualifying marks will be announced with the official result criteria. Until then, the JEE Advanced 2026 qualifying marks give you the latest reference for understanding the subject-wise and aggregate requirements.
What Are JEE Advanced Qualifying Marks?
JEE Advanced qualifying marks are the minimum marks you need to satisfy the subject-wise and aggregate criteria for inclusion in a rank list. They are different from the Class 12 marks required for IIT admission.
The 2026 result criteria state that the aggregate marks are calculated from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with a maximum aggregate of 360 marks. Candidates must satisfy both the minimum marks in each subject and the minimum aggregate marks applicable to their rank list.

These are JEE Advanced 2026 qualifying marks, not the qualifying marks for 2027. The 2027 figures will be known when the official JEE Advanced 2027 result criteria are released.
How Are JEE Advanced Qualifying Marks Calculated?
The qualifying criteria have two parts: the minimum marks required in individual subjects and the minimum aggregate marks.
Subject-wise Requirement
You need to meet the minimum marks specified for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry individually. Falling below the applicable minimum in any one subject means you do not satisfy the subject-wise qualifying requirement.
Aggregate Requirement
Your marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are added to determine your aggregate score.
For JEE Advanced 2026:

The marks required to qualify for a JEE Advanced rank list should not be confused with the Class 12 performance requirement for IIT admission.

What Should You Know About JEE Advanced 2027 Qualifying Marks?
The 2027 qualifying marks are not available yet. Until the official 2027 result criteria are released, the 2026 figures should be used only as the latest reference.
