Why JEE Mains Result Announced in Percentile?
The
JEE Main Exam
is conducted in different shifts on more than one date. There are more than one set of paper, some set of papers are more hard as compared to others. Candidates who get the hard set of paper are expected to score lower marks in the JEE Main exam which tends to be unfair.
However, the NTA uses the percentile method to ensure that there is equality while calculating the JEE Main score. This can be unfair as some candidates will score lesser marks due to their rough set of paper in JEE Main.
