The optional questions in Section B will no longer be part of the exam for both Papers 1 and 2.

JEE Main 2025 exam for B.E/B.Tech is going to include a total of 75 questions, carrying 300 marks, divided across three main subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject will have 25 mandatory questions, which include 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 numerical value questions.

The upcoming JEE Main Registrations 2025 are expected to see a significant rise compared to previous years. In 2024, during Session 1, a total of 1,231,874 students registered, with 1,170,036 students appearing for the exam. In Session 2 of the same year, 1,179,569 students registered, and 1,067,959 students appeared.

• In 2023, the registration numbers were slightly lower. For session 1, there were 860,064 registered students and 823,967 students who appeared. Session 2 saw 931,334 students registered and 883,367 who appeared.
• Looking back at 2022, Session 1 had 872,970 registered students and 769,604 students appeared. During Session 2 of that year, there were 622,034 registrations and 540,242 students who took the exam.
