Eligibility Conditions for JAIIB or CAIIB Exams Conducted by IIBF
Candidates aiming to appear in the JAIIB or CAIIB exams organized by IIBF must adhere to the following eligibility conditions:
Membership Eligibility:
Ordinary members cannot apply for IIBF flagship courses.
Only individuals serving in the banking and finance industry are eligible to sit for IIBF exams.
Candidates must be lifetime members of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance to apply for the exam.
Eligible Membership:
Membership is open to employees of recognized banking establishments, both nationalized and private sectors, including the Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, other Financial Institutions (both Central and State), Co-operative Banks, and other approved institutions in India as authorized by the Council.
Educational Qualifications:
For JAIIB, candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam in any discipline or its equivalent.
To apply for IIBF CAIIB, candidates must have completed JAIIB or PART-1 of the Associate Examination.
Facility of Scribe:
Candidates with disabilities affecting writing speed or hindering keyboard/mouse operation can employ their own scribe at their expense during the examination.
The scribe should not be a current/retired banker or from any financial institution and can belong to any academic stream.
Both the candidate and the scribe must submit an undertaking confirming the scribe's eligibility. Failure to meet eligibility criteria will result in the cancellation of the candidate's candidature.
Candidates using a scribe are eligible for an additional 20 minutes per hour of examination as compensatory time.
IIBF Application Fee
Applicants must submit the IIBF application fee to finalize their registration for the exam. Candidates aiming to participate in the JAIIB and CAIIB exams conducted by IIBF have to pay the fees as mentioned below:

IIBF Application Fee Structure:
The institute follows a tiered fee system for the examination registration:
Regular fee for candidates registering during the first week of the registration period.
For registrations during the second and third weeks, the fees will be the regular examination fee plus an additional Rs. 100/-
Registrations made during the fourth week will incur the regular examination fee plus an additional Rs. 200/-
If the registration period extends beyond four weeks, the examination fees will be the regular examination fee plus Rs. 200/- for the extended days.

For JAIIB Exam:

Important Note:
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit letter along with a Membership identity card or any other valid photo ID card in its original form.
Acceptable identity cards include an Aadhaar card/ e-Aadhaar, Employer’s card, PAN Card, Driving License, Election voter’s card, Passport, etc., which should be produced at the examination venue.
IIBF Exam Passing Criteria
Candidates will be considered to have passed the IIBF exam under the following conditions:
Minimum Marks Requirement:
Scoring a minimum of 50 marks out of 100 in each subject.
Alternative Aggregate Requirement:
Securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks across all subjects of the examination in a single attempt.
Retention of Credits:
Candidates can maintain credits for the subjects they have passed in an attempt until the expiration of the time limit for passing the examination.
Time Limit for Passing:
Candidates are required to clear the examination within a time limit of 2 years, which amounts to 4 consecutive attempts.
Re-registration After Expiry:
If a candidate fails to pass the examination within the stipulated two years, they must re-register themselves.
Such candidates won't receive credit for subjects passed earlier.
Commencement of Time Limit:
The 2-year time limit starts from the date of application for the first attempt.
Attempts will be counted regardless of whether a candidate appears for any examination or not.
