Completion of an ICT (Information and Communication Technology) course is mandatory at the entry level as per Chandigarh Administration norms.

- PwBD: Maximum 40 years

Work Experience

The candidate must be a qualified legal practitioner (Advocate) with at least 2 years of experience in practicing law, under the Advocates Act, 1961.

Nationality

Candidate must be: 

- A citizen of India, or 

- A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or 

- A Tibetan refugee (arrived before 1st Jan 1962), or 

- A person of Indian origin migrated from select countries with intent to settle in India permanently. (Candidates other than Indian citizens must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by Govt. of India.)

Number of Attempts

Unlimited attempts permitted within the prescribed age limit.

Other Requirements

- Private legal practice is strictly prohibited after appointment. 

- Selected candidates must join within 3 months of appointment order. 

- Cannot apply for outside posts for 2 years after joining. 

- The post is permanent, Group "B" Gazetted, non-ministerial, and based in Chandigarh.
