Choose the Correct Submission Channel
For Advocates enrolled with District/Sub-Divisional Bar Associations (Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh):
Submit to the concerned District & Sessions Judge by 31.07.2025 (5:00 PM). The Judge's office will forward it to the High Court.
For Candidates in Government Service:
Submit to your Head of Department by 31.07.2025 (5:00 PM). The HoD must forward it to the High Court.
For All Other Candidates:
Submit directly to the Registrar (Recruitment), High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, through the Co-ordination Branch by 31.07.2025 (5:00 PM).

The Haryana Superior Judicial Service Selection Process 2025 consists of:
Preliminary Examination (if required for shortlisting)
Main Written Examination (750 marks)

Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved categories) in the written and viva combined.
To apply for the Haryana Superior Judicial Service Examination 2025, candidates must fulfill specific professional, educational, and legal requirements. The eligibility criteria ensure that only qualified and experienced advocates are considered for appointment as Additional District & Sessions Judges.
1. Nationality Requirement: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. Professional Qualification:
Must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
Must have practised law for not less than seven years as of the cut-off date.
Note: Candidates currently serving in judicial service or those with combined experience are not eligible as per the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dheeraj Mor v. High Court of Delhi.
3. Income and Case Handling Criteria:
Must be an Income Tax assessee for the last three assessment years preceding the application date.
Should have a gross professional income of at least ₹5 lakhs per annum.
Must have independently handled not less than 50 cases per year (excluding bunch cases) for the preceding three years.
For SC/ST/BC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen:
Minimum income: ₹3 lakhs per annum
Minimum cases: 40 per year
4. Language and Computer Proficiency
Must have passed Matriculation with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or equivalent qualification.
Must possess basic knowledge of computer applications.
More than one spouse living (except with prior exemption from the Governor).
Dismissal or removal from service by any High Court/Government/Statutory Body.
Conviction for an offence involving moral turpitude or permanent disqualification by any Public Service Commission.
Found guilty of professional misconduct under the Advocates Act or any applicable law.
Minimum age: 35 years
Maximum age: 45 years
Upper age relaxation (up to 5 years) is available for candidates belonging to SC, BC, PwBD (Blindness & Low Vision, Locomotor Disability), and Ex-servicemen categories of Haryana State only.
The reservation is applicable as per Haryana Government norms and is available only to bona fide domiciles of Haryana.
Required certificates must be issued by competent authorities and be valid for the year 2025–26.
SC/BC/EWS/ESM/PwBD candidates must submit the latest Domicile Certificate of Haryana.
BC candidates must:
Submit an updated BC certificate (issued on or after 01.04.2025).
Submit a non-creamy layer declaration.
EWS candidates must attach the latest Income & Asset Certificate valid for FY 2025–26.
Ex-servicemen must attach their Identity Card and Discharge Book.
PwBD candidates must have a disability of 40% or more and submit a valid certificate under the RPwD Act, 2016.
Reserved category candidates from other states will be treated as General category.
The Haryana Superior Judicial Service Examination 2025 will be conducted in two main stages:

Depending on the number of applicants, a Preliminary Exam (Objective type) may be conducted for shortlisting. Marks from the preliminary exam will not count toward the final result.
