CLAT 2026 Registration Started, Dates, Process, Application Fee

CLAT 2026 Registration has been open from today on 1st August 2025 on the official website. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria must complete the CLAT 2026 registration process online through the official website at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT 2026 official notification was announced on 20th July 2025. Candidates must visit the official website to keep track of the CLAT 2026 important dates. 

CLAT 2026 is a national-level law entrance exam for students aiming to join UG and PG law programs at some of India’s most renowned National Law Universities. Conducted by the Consortium of NLUs, it is conducted in offline mode with 120 multiple-choice questions across five sections, namely, English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. Each section is designed to evaluate the candidates based on their core comprehension, analytical, and legal aptitude skills.

CLAT 2025 Registration

CLAT registration for 2025 has started today, 1 August 2025. Candidates who want to pursue law courses at top National Law Universities can now apply online at the official CLAT website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in). The last date to register is 31 October 2025, so make sure to fill the form before the deadline. The application fee is Rs 4,000 for General/OBC/PWD candidates and Rs 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL candidates.

CLAT 2026 Registration Date by CNLUs

CLAT 2026 Registration Process

CLAT 2025 registration process is completely online. For CLAT registration, candidates need to create an account using their mobile number and email address. Make sure both are active and personal, as verification codes will be sent to them. 

Once registered, candidates need to complete their CLAT application process by entering their details, contact information, educational qualifications, choosing their preferred exam centres, and specifying any reservation or category information. 

Here are the steps involved in the CLAT 2026 registration process. 

• Visit the official website of the Consortium at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
• Click on the “CLAT 2026 registration link”. 
• Enter your name, mobile number, and email ID to register. You will get your login credentials. 
• Log in to your account with your CLAT login credentials. Enter your personal details, address, academic details, and relevant information. 
• After this, candidates will need to select their exam centre preference from the list provided. 
• Next, upload the mandatory documents in the prescribed format and size. The documents include the photograph and relevant certificates. 
• After filling out the details, review everything. Pay the CLAT 2026 application fee as per your category. 
• After successfully paying the application fee, submit the form.
