CAT 2024 Result Controversy Plea: A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court against the results of the CAT 2024 . Aditya Kumar Mallick, one of the CAT 2024 test takers, filed a petition challenging the CAT 2024 results . In his petition, Aditya Kumar Mullick challenged IIM Calcutta for not making rectifications in the final answer key and hastily released the CAT 2024 results on December 19, 2024, although the expected result announcement date was in the second week of January 2025.

CAT 2024 faced scrutiny when a question in the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section from Slot 2 received 272 objections following the release of the provisional answer key on December 3, 2024. Despite the large number of objections supported by documents, IIM Calcutta mentioned in its official notification for the CAT final answer key that no changes were required.
