CAT Exam Marking Scheme 2024 includes a marking scheme that explains how many points will be given for each correct answer and how many points will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The CAT exam has a total of 66 objective type questions (MCQ and TITA) to be solved within 120 minutes.
The sectional weightage of the CAT exam is as follows: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) with 24 questions and a weightage of 72 marks, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) with 20 questions and a weightage of 60 marks, and Quantitative Ability (QA) with 22 questions and a weightage of 66 marks.
Note: The total marks of CAT is 198, and each question carries 3 marks. For every right answer, +3 will be awarded, and for every wrong answer in MCQs, -1 will be deducted. There is no negative marking for Non-MCQs.
