GMAT Syllabus 2024

GMAT syllabus 2024: GMAT Focus Edition syllabus is different from the current GMAT exam syllabus. The AWA (Analytical Writing Assessment) and SC (Sentence Correction) sections have been removed. A new section called Data Insights (DI) has been added, which is based on IR (Integrated Reasoning) and also includes DS (Data Sufficiency). GMAT Syllabus 2024 For Integrated Reasoning

The GMAT Integrated Reasoning section assesses candidates' capacity to understand the data presented in tabular or graphical formats. The questions in the GMAT IR section are based on the following topics:

Two-Part Analysis

This topic of the GMAT syllabus includes questions based on quantitative, verbal, or a combination of both. To strengthen this section, candidates must solve simultaneous equations, evaluate trade-offs, and find out the relationships between two entities or values.

Table Analysis

This topic evaluates candidates' ability to sort and analyse data presented in tabular form. Questions based on table analysis evaluate candidates’ ability to determine important information.

Multi-Source Reasoning

The topics covered in multi-source reasoning include data from various sources such as tables, text passages, graphics, or a combination of all. Candidates must carefully analyse each data source to accurately answer multiple questions during the GMAT.

Graphics Interpretation

This section includes evaluation and interpretation of information presented in graphical forms like x/y graphs, scatter plots, pie charts, bar charts, or statistical curve distributions. To solve the questions asked from this topic, candidates must identify relationships in the provided information and make inferences.

GMAT Syllabus 2024 For Quantitative Reasoning

GMAT Focus Edition Syllabus 2024

In 2023, GMAC introduced the GMAT Focus Edition, which offers increased flexibility to candidates. The GMAT Focus Edition syllabus differs from the current exam syllabus. The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) and Sentence Correction (SC) sections are not covered in the updated GMAT syllabus. Instead, GMAC has included a new section known as Data Insights (DI).
