IGNOU: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), under the Union Ministry of Education, has introduced several new programs for the July 2024 admission session, expanding the university's academic offerings.
The university has added specialized Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in fields such as Agribusiness Management, Construction Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Healthcare and Hospital Management. Applicants must have a bachelorās degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. The application deadline is August 14, 2024. These new programs will be offered in both online and distance learning formats, following the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. This policy allows flexible entry and exit options, making higher education more accessible to all.- M Shanmugam, the Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Centre Madurai, stated at a press conference at the IGNOU Study Centre-2504 in Bishop Heber College, Tiruchi, that the university is committed to reaching out to rural learners, underprivileged groups, women, school dropouts, and those looking to upgrade their qualifications.
