SNAP 2023 Selection Criteria and Admission Process

After the announcement of the SNAP result 2023 , both SIU and its affiliated institutes will initiate the process of shortlisting candidates based on the SNAP cut off 2023. Each of the SNAP selection rounds carry different weightage during the admission process. The schedule for GE-PI-WAT is communicated to the shortlisted candidates through email.

SNAP Group Exercise

The Group Exercise (GE) session at SIU comprises two phases. In the initial phase, each group of shortlisted candidates is presented with a puzzle to solve within a specified time frame. The primary objective of this exercise is to assess how effectively candidates can collaborate and strategize as a team. Demonstration of effective management, leadership qualities, and teamwork are crucial aspects of this activity. In the second phase of GE, a group discussion is conducted. Candidates are organized into groups, and each group is assigned a distinct topic for debate. They are given five minutes to brainstorm points related to the topic before engaging in a discussion. This phase evaluates candidates' clarity of thought, communication skills, and ability to persuade others.

SNAP Personal Interview

The Personal Interview (PI) round at SIU closely resembles that of other institutes, where candidates are called to discuss their backgrounds and future plans. A frequently asked question in the SNAP PI round is 'Why MBA?' This round serves to evaluate candidates' communication skills, thought processes, and problem-solving abilities.

SNAP Written Ability Test

In the WAT session, candidates are asked to write an essay on a given topic. Occasionally, candidates may be presented with a video to watch and then craft a narrative around it. The objective of this round is to assess candidates' analytical and interpretive abilities. In the selection process at SIU, the final evaluation of each candidate's performance is done by considering the following parameters:
SNAP Selection Parameters Total Weightage
SNAP Score (scaled out of 150 marks) 50%
Group Exercise (GE) 10%
Personal Interview (PI) 30%
Written Ability Test (WAT) 10%
Total 100%
