XAT 2025 on January 5: The XAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on January 5. This year, XLRI Jamshedpur has made significant changes to the exam pattern. Candidates aspiring to take the XAT 2025 exam must familiarise themselves with these changes to enhance their performance.
The XAT 2025 scores will be accepted by over 250 B-schools in India. The changes to the XAT exam pattern aim to streamline the assessment process and better align it with the competencies required for management education. The XAT exam will be conducted in a single session, which is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. To take the exam candidates must carry their XAT admit cards, which were issued on 26 December 2024.Major Changes in XAT 2025 Exam Pattern
Here are the details of the major changes introduced by XLRI Jamshedpur:- The exam duration has been reduced from 210 minutes to 180 minutes.
- Essay writing section has been removed from the XAT main exam. It will now be conducted during the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) stages.
- The number of questions in the GK section is now reduced from 25 to 20. Additionally, candidates will get 10 minutes to complete the GK section.

XAT 2025 Marking Scheme
Here are the details of the XAT 2025 marking scheme:- Each correct answer awards +1 mark.
- Every incorrect answer leads to a penalty of 0.25 marks.
- Leaving more than 8 consecutive questions unanswered results in a deduction of 0.10 marks per unattempted question beyond the eighth.
- There is no negative marking in the GK section.
