NEET PG Admission Process 2024 Explained, State Wise Medical Seats

NEET PG Admission 2024 will be done based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Post Graduate), a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). NEET PG Admission 2024 will be done to various MD/MS and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges across India after the announcement of results. NEET PG 2024 entrance exam is mandatory for all medical graduates who wish to pursue postgraduate medical courses. Candidates who have their MBBS from outside India will need to pass the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) to take the exam and be considered for NEET PG Admission Counselling after qualifying.

NEET PG Admission 2024 Registration

The first step in the NEET PG admission process is registration for the NEET PG Exam 2024. Candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the National Board of Examinations (NBE) at nbe.edu.in by providing their details, such as name, email ID, phone number, and date of birth. This consists of two stages:

Application Form Filling

After successful registration at the website, candidates need to complete the NEET PG application form by providing their academic details including marks obtained in MBBS, internship completion date, and MBBS completion year. Candidates also need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the form.

Application Fee Payment

Fee payment is the next step where candidates need to pay the application fee for NEET PG through online mode using debit/credit cards or net banking after completing the form. The application fee for NEET PG admission varies for different categories and is as follows for NEET PG 2024:

NEET PG Admission 2024 Exam Process

Once the application process is complete, NEET PG Exam Process 2024 will begin. For this NBE will issue the NEET PG Admit Card 2024 which will be required on the NEET PG Exam Date. Candidates can download their NEET PG admit card from the official website of NBE by using their registration ID and password. The exam process for NEET PG Admission 2024 consists of the following steps:

NEET PG admit cards are one of the most important documents that will be released after the application process is completed on the portal. Candidates will be able to know important information such as the exam center, exam date, and shift time from their NEET PG admit card.

Appearing for NEET PG Exam 2024

NEET PG is a computer-based test that consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates will be allowed three and a half hours to solve the NEET PG Question Paper . The questions will be based on the MBBS syllabus, and candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks to become eligible for NEET PG Admission counseling.

Declaration of NEET PG Result 2024

After the exam is completed, the NBE releases the NEET PG result on its official website. NEET PG Cutoff 2024 will be followed by the NEET PG Scorecard 2024 containing the candidate's total marks, sectional marks, and percentile score which will be used in NEET PG admission.

NEET PG Admission Counseling and Seat Allotment

Candidates who qualify for the NEET PG exam are required to participate in the counseling process for seat allotment. Candidates need to register themselves on the website of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of the Director General of Health Services. Here qualified candidates must register for NEET PG admission counseling and fill in their choices of colleges and courses. MCC will allot medical seats based on the candidate's rank, seat availability in AIQ and state quota seats, and candidate preferences in NEET PG Choice Filling. Factors like availability of seats, reservation, total score, etc. are also considered in the NEET PG seat allotment in participating medical colleges.

A State Wise PG medical seat for NEET PG admission will be announced by MCC based on which seat allotment will be done. The list for 2024 seat allotment will be released by authorities after NEET PG Result 2024. There will be two types of counselling, NEET PG AIQ Counselling and State Quota Counselling.
