Age Limit: There is no upper or lower age limit for NEET PG 2026. Candidates of any age who are otherwise eligible can apply for the exam.
Attempt Limit: There is no attempt limit. Candidates can apply and appear for NEET PG exam as many times as they want, till they are successful in their attempts.
Application Mode: Candidates can apply online only. Offline application mode is not provided.
Language: The exam is conducted only in English.
The NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 for Foreign Medical Graduates focus on Indian citizens who completed their MBBS abroad. These candidates must comply with the following rules:
Nationality: Should be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India(OCI).
Primary Medical Qualification: The primary medical qualification should be from a foreign institution, the qualifying university which is recognized by the Medical authority of that country
FMGE Pass Certificate: Pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) for eligibility of Registration with NMC/MCI.
Medical Registration: Provisional/Permanent Registration with NMC/MCI or SMC after successful passing of FMGE.
Internship: FMGs should complete their 1-year internship in India by 31st July 2026 to be eligible.
Important: FMGs must carry their FMGE Pass Certificate and Registration Certificate to the exam centre on the day of the examination. Entry to the exam centre will not be permitted without the said certificates.
The NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 For Foreign Nationals are designed for students holding medical degrees from other countries. The requirements include:
Basic Medical Qualification: The candidate should have a basic medical qualification (equivalent to MBBS) recognized by the medical authority of the respective country of the candidate.
Registration as a Medical Practitioner: The candidate should be registered with the respective medical authority of their country. The candidate need not be registered with NMC at the time of application.
Note: Foreign Nationals need not have the FMGE certificate to appear for NEET PG
After Selection: Provisional registration for the particular course will be granted by NMC/MCI only after the candidate is selected and awarded a seat. This will be valid only for the period of the course and on payment of the applicable fee for registration.
Security Clearance: Security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, is mandatory.
Internship: The internship will be as per the norms followed by the admitting institute, which is compulsory for most colleges.
