College and Course Options for 400 to 450 Marks

With 400 to 450 marks, MBBS in a government college is very difficult for general category students. However, some SC/ST or OBC category students in certain states may get government seats for AYUSH courses like:

  • BAMS: Ayurveda

  • BHMS: Homeopathy

  • BUMS: Unani

Also, you can apply to private medical colleges for MBBS or BDS. The fees are higher, but many colleges offer good education. Some students also choose to study in Deemed Universities, which are private but have good facilities.

You should participate in both All India Quota and State Quota counselling, and add as many choices as possible. This increases the chance of getting a seat in a good course.

If you want a government MBBS seat and are confident to study again, you can take a drop year and prepare to score more than 600 marks next time.
