In cases where two or more candidates achieve identical scores in NEET 2025, specific criteria have been set to determine their ranking. According to a recent National Medical Commission (NMC) announcement, the tie-breaking rules for NEET 2025 have been updated. Here are the revised criteria used for the Goa NEET Merit List 2025:
Priority will be given to the candidate with higher marks in Biology.
If the tie persists, the marks in Chemistry will be considered.
If the tie still remains, preference will be given to the candidate with fewer incorrect answers.
Finally, the older candidate will be ranked higher if the tie persists despite the above criteria.
