The discrepancies and paper leaks had a profound impact on students. Those who had prepared diligently found their rankings affected by the inflated scores of others. This unexpected shift had serious implications for college admissions, leaving many deserving candidates without seats in prestigious institutions.

On June 6, NTA stated in response to candidate queries about the NEET UG 2024 results. It mentioned several writ petitions filed in the High Courts of Punjab & Haryana, Delhi, and Chhattisgarh about exam time loss. After a thorough evaluation, 1,563 candidates were compensated, and their marks were adjusted. The NTA confirmed that CCTV footage verified no compromise in the exam’s integrity at the affected centers.

Additionally, a serious issue has arisen involving an alleged cheating scam. Parshuram Roy, owner of a foreign education consultancy, and Tushar Bhatt, a school teacher, along with at least 16 students from Gujarat, have been accused of fraud. These individuals allegedly paid Rs 10 lakh each to fraudulently pass the NEET exam.
