NEET UG 2025 AIQ seat matrix is now officially available. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released it for candidates participating in MBBS and BDS admission counselling under NEET UG. Students can use this seat matrix to understand the availability of medical seats in various government and central medical colleges. This helps them make better choices while locking in preferences during the NEET UG counselling rounds.
The All India Quota (AIQ) refers to 15% of the total seats in government medical and dental colleges across different states that are available to students from all over India. These seats are filled based on NEET UG 2025 scores through centralized counselling conducted by MCC. However, institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, and BHU offer 100% of their MBBS/BDS seats through this process. This year, the MCC will conduct counselling in four rounds — Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy Round — for these AIQ seats.
Students can easily download the official seat matrix PDF from MCC’s website. Here's how:
Visit the official MCC website – mcc.nic.in
Click on the “UG Medical Counselling” section.
Look for “Seat Matrix” in the current round section.
Download the AIQ MBBS and BDS seat matrix PDF.

The 15% AIQ seats are meant for students who qualify NEET UG but do not belong to the state where the medical college is located. Under this quota, students can apply to colleges in any state, irrespective of their domicile. These seats are available in all government medical and dental colleges in India, excluding those in Jammu & Kashmir (unless they participate voluntarily). The remaining 85% of seats in those colleges are reserved for state quota counselling.
Government medical colleges across India offer 15% of their MBBS and BDS seats through AIQ counselling. This includes institutions in almost all states and union territories, except those that have opted out. Each college contributes a fixed number of MBBS seats to the 15% AIQ pool. These seats are then further divided based on the reservation rules of the central government. The seat distribution follows strict guidelines for category-wise allocation such as General, SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD.
Some universities do not follow the 15% AIQ quota system. Instead, they offer 100% of their MBBS/BDS seats through AIQ counselling. These include:
