MCC released the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Information Bulletin to help students understand how the medical seat counselling process will work this year. This counselling is for MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing and other related courses. Only those who have passed the NEET UG 2025 exam can take part in the counselling.
MCC conducts NEET UG Counselling 2025 process on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The counselling is done online through the official website – www.mcc.nic.in. Students have to register online, fill their choices, and attend counselling rounds to get a seat.

Documents Required for NEET 2025 Counselling
NEET UG counselling 2025 has two major types:
All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling 2025 is managed by MCC.
Covers 15% seats of all government medical and dental colleges across states.
Includes 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
State Quota Counselling 2025 is managed by State Authorities.
Covers 85% of state government college seats.
Also includes 100% of private medical and dental college seats within the state.
Students can apply for both AIQ and State Quota counselling separately if eligible.
Only candidates who meet the following conditions are eligible for NEET UG Counselling 2025 AIQ seats:
Must have qualified for NEET UG 2025.
Domicile is not required for AIQ.
Must meet the minimum eligibility norms of NMC (National Medical Commission).
MCC follows the Central Government’s reservation guidelines for counselling under AIQ. The policy ensures fair representation for all sections of society.

The NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Candidates must use the email ID and mobile number submitted during their NEET application for registration on the MCC portal. All official communications will be shared via the registered email or mobile number only.
Before beginning the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Registration, students must follow these important guidelines:
Use only a laptop or computer with an updated browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Windows/IOS).
Download and use the Sandes app for OTP verification on your registered mobile number.
Registration must be done at the official MCC website: www.mcc.nic.in.
MCC does not allow manual or nomination-based seat allotments.
Candidates must physically report to the allotted college with original documents. No other person can report on their behalf.
This is the first round where candidates register, fill out choices, and get a seat based on merit. Reporting to the college is compulsory after seat allotment.

Registration and payment of Non-Refundable Registration Fee and Refundable Security Deposit.
Choice filling and choice locking within the prescribed time.
Seat allotment process and publication of Round 1 result on MCC website.
Physical reporting at the allotted college with original documents.
Option to upgrade to Round 2 available after physical reporting.
Note: If a candidate is not allotted any seat in Round 1, they can directly participate in Round 2 without re-registration.
In this round, new candidates can register, and already registered candidates can upgrade their seats. Fresh choice filling is required for everyone.

No fresh registration required for those who registered earlier but were not allotted a seat.
New candidates can register afresh with complete fee payment.
Fresh choice filling and locking is mandatory.
Seat allotment and result publication on MCC website.
Physical reporting is compulsory with original documents.
Candidates who upgrade in Round 2 must leave the Round 1 seat.
If not joined, the security deposit is forfeited.
Note: Those not allotted a seat in Round 2 (new registrants) can directly participate in Round 3 without fresh registration.
3rd Round gives a final opportunity to those who did not get a seat earlier. Fresh registration and choice filling are needed for some candidates.

No need to register again if already registered in earlier rounds and not allotted a seat.
New registration is open for candidates who didn’t register in previous rounds or who resigned/not reported.
Mandatory fresh choice filling and locking.
Seat allotment process followed by result publication.
Physical reporting required with original documents.
Once joined in Round 3, candidates cannot resign or upgrade.
Non-reporting leads to security deposit forfeiture and disqualification from further rounds.
Note: Candidates not allotted seats in Round 3 are eligible for Stray Vacancy Round.
This is the last chance to get a seat. Only fresh registrants who haven’t been allotted seats before can take part, and joining is mandatory if allotted.
Fresh registration is mandatory for the stray round.
Candidates already allotted a seat through Central or State counselling are not eligible.
AIQ Stray Vacancy Round will be held for remaining vacant seats after Round 3.
For Deemed Universities, the Stray Vacancy Round is conducted by MCC.
If allotted a seat in this round, joining is compulsory.
Failure to join results in security deposit forfeiture and permanent disqualification from further counselling rounds.
MCC’s role is limited to NEET UG Counselling 2025 :
Seat allotment based on NEET score, candidate preferences, and category.
Conducting online counselling rounds.
Sharing final allotment lists with colleges for admission.
MCC does not conduct any entrance exam. It only acts upon the data provided by NTA (National Testing Agency).

The security deposit is refunded only if the candidate reports to the allotted college or does not get a seat in any round.
