NSE Open Mega Tests: The PDC 2025 selection procedure incorporates a multi-stage approach, combining tests and interviews, aimed at identifying the most promising candidates for the prestigious Pre-Departure Camp.
Open Mega Tests 2025 serve as the mandatory initial stage for the PDC 2025 selection procedure. This multi-stage process, which includes tests and interviews, aims to identify promising candidates for the free offline NSE Pre-Departure Camp (Interactive Session). Performance in these Mega Tests is critical for shortlisting and carries additional weight in the final selection for the Camp.
The series includes five examinations: NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEJS, and NSEA. Each test has a maximum score of 216 across 60 questions (48 SCQ, 12 MCQ).

The Open Mega Tests for all disciplines are precisely scheduled across two consecutive Sundays in October 2025, specifically, October 5th and October 12th. The schedule is meticulously organized to prevent time conflicts, with four distinct time slots accommodating the five NSE examinations. This arrangement ensures that candidates can attempt multiple subject tests over the two-week period.
NSEP examinations, including the Part Test - 4 and Mega Test - 1, are specifically designed to assess proficiency in the full 11th and 12th grade Physics syllabus. Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge across mechanics, electromagnetism, and modern physics. Crucially, the tests explicitly include chapters on Waves, Thermal Properties of Matter, Wave Optics, and Electronics. Both tests are scheduled for the initial morning slot: 08:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
