RRB ALP CBAT has been officially announced CBAT Re-Exam is scheduled for August 31, 2025. Administrative considerations have led to the cancellation of the RRB ALP Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), which was scheduled for July 15, 2025. This announcement is crucial for candidates who have cleared CBT 2 and are preparing for the final stage of the recruitment process — the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). The CBAT plays a significant role in the final selection of candidates for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP). 

RRB ALP CBAT Exam Date 2025 Out

The Railway Recruitment Boards released the official notification on June 26, 2025, declaring the CBAT Re Exam Date as August 31, 2025. The information has been published on the official RRB regional websites on 21 August 2025. This date is final and applicable to all eligible candidates across various zones. Candidates who have successfully qualified for the CBT Stage 2 exam are eligible to appear for the CBAT. As per the RRB recruitment rules, only those candidates who score qualifying marks in the CBAT will be considered for final selection, subject to medical fitness and document verification.

RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Pattern

• CBT 1 is a screening exam for shortlisting candidates for CBT 2.
• Total marks: 75
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern

• RRB Stage 2 is divided into Part A and Part B.
• Part A: 100 questions in 90 minutes
• Part B: 75 questions in 60 minutes
• Only marks obtained in Part A are considered for shortlisting candidates for further stages.
• Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer.

• Negative Marking: No
• Weightage: Part A CBT 2 marks account for 70%, while CBAT marks account for 30% in the merit list
• Merit List: Only candidates who pass the CBAT will be considered for the RRB ALP merit list
