RBSE Class 10th Preparation Tips
A separate PDF of Exam Pattern will be released by the RBSE on its official website to give clear guidelines to students, regarding the structure of the question paper, marks distribution, and assessment criteria. It includes all the subjects along with the total 100 marks distributed to various sections like internal assessment, notebook, and project work.

English
This year, the marking scheme gives more importance to the Supplementary Reader (Footprints Without Feet), encouraging students to develop a deeper understanding of literary texts through focused reading.
Mathematics
For Mathematics, new topics have been introduced in the 2025–26 session. Concepts such as Distance Formula, Section Formula are included in the syllabus. Real Numbers have been added, replacing the earlier Number System unit.
While the sub topics remain the same, there are slight changes in the distribution of marks.
Hindi
In Hindi, the syllabus content is the same as last year, but minor adjustments have been made in the mark distribution between the two prescribed textbooks: Kshitij Part 2 was previously allotted 34 marks, now reduced to 33 marks. Kritika Part 2 was previously allotted 10 marks, now increased to 11 marks.
Sanskrit
The Sanskrit syllabus has undergone a minor update in terms of marks allocation:
अनुप्रयुक्तव्याकरणम् (Applied Grammar): Reduced from 25 marks last year to 24 marks this year.
पठित-अवबोधनम् (Seen Comprehension): Increased from 32 marks to 33 marks.
The overall content and topics remain unchanged, with only these small adjustments in the marking scheme.
Science
In the RBSE Class 10 Science syllabus, most of the structure and content is the same, only the “Evolution” section from Chapter 8 – Heredity and Evolution has been removed. Students now need to focus only on the Heredity portion of this chapter. Additionally, last year the syllabus was organized unit-wise. And this year 2025-26, syllabus is structured chapter-wise, making it easy for students.
Social Science
There are no changes in the Social Science syllabus or exam pattern for the 2025–26 session. It remains the same like the previous year’s format in terms of both content and marks distribution.
