Attempts for WBJEE Based On Educational Qualification

Students currently in their 12th grade are eligible to appear for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2025. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates appearing for their Class 12th or equivalent examination in 2025 can apply for WBJEE. However, they must fulfill the following requirements:

Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit for most courses, except for Marine Engineering, which has an upper age limit of 25 years.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or a Technical Vocational Subject. They should have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in these three subjects taken together. Additionally, a minimum of 30% marks in English is required.

It's important to note that while appearing candidates can sit for the examination, their admission will be provisional and subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria upon the declaration of their 12th-grade results. Therefore, students currently in 12th grade can apply for WBJEE 2025, provided they meet the specified age and educational qualifications.

WBJEE 2025 Marking Scheme

  • Three categories are present in the WBJEE 2025 question paper.
  • One mark is given for each question in Category I, and one-fourth of a mark is taken away for each wrong response.
  • Two-mark questions are included in Category II, and each erroneous response will result in the loss of ½ mark.
  • There are two mark questions in Category III, and there is no negative marking.
