The marking scheme is different for Category 1 and Category 2 questions:

Category 1 (Single Correct Answer)

  • Each correct answer = +1 mark

  • Incorrect answer = -¼ (negative 0.25) mark

  • Multiple marked answers (even if one is correct) = -¼ (negative 0.25) mark

  • Unattempted question = 0 marks

Category 2 (One or More Correct Answers)

  • All correct options marked = +2 marks

  • If any incorrect option is marked, 0 marks (even if some correct options are chosen)

  • Partial correct answers = (2 × No. of correct options marked) ÷ (Total correct options)

  • Unattempted question = 0 marks
