This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 465 vacancies across prestigious Group A and Group B posts, including the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) and Odisha Police Service (OPS). Aspiring candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and meet the age criteria of 21 to 38 years (extendable up to 42 years for specific categories) while demonstrating proficiency in the Odia language. This extension provides a final opportunity for eligible graduates to complete their registrations and prepare for the Preliminary exam scheduled for June 7, 2026.

OPSC OCS 2026 Application Deadline Extended

According to the official notice from the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) dated 05/03/26, the application deadline for the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2025 has been further extended. This decision was made to clear up confusion among candidates regarding previous dates and combines all deadlines.

The new, final deadline for registration, payment of the examination fee, and submission of the registered Online Application Form is now 12.03.2026 at 5:00 P.M.. The commission has explicitly stated that no further extensions of this date will be allowed under any circumstances. Except for this change, all other terms and conditions outlined in the original advertisement (Advt. No. 05 of 2025-26) remain unchanged.

OPSC OCS 2026 Selection Process

The OPSC OCS Recruitment 2026 process is conducted in three stages:

• Preliminary Examination

• Main Examination

• Interview / Personality Test

Prelims marks are qualifying in nature.
Final merit is based on Mains + Interview scores.

OPSC OCS Exam Pattern 2026 (Prelims)

• Objective-type MCQs

• Two papers — 200 marks each

• 2 hours duration per paper

• Negative marking: 0.33 marks

Paper-2 is qualifying — candidates must score 33%+

OPSC OCS Salary 2026

The selected candidates for the Group A post will be paid Rs. 56,100/- and the salary for Group B posts will be paid 44,900 in Pay Level 12 Cell-1 in the Pay Matrix under Rules-3 of ORSP Rules, 2027.

Allowances include DA, HRA, TA and other state benefits.
