Bihar STET 2024 : The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that it will conduct the Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) twice a year. The Bihar STET 2024 exam for Paper 1 is scheduled to be held from 18 May 2024 to 29 May 2024, and Paper 2 is scheduled to be held from 11 June 2024 to 20 June 2024. The Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) has finally declared the much-awaited STET (Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test) results. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website, secondary.biharboardonline.com.
This year, a total of 423,822 hopefuls took the STET exam, with a success rate of 70.25% across 45 subjects in both papers. This translates to 297,747 candidates passing the crucial teacher eligibility test.
There's a noteworthy difference in performance between Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1, meant for teachers of classes 9 and 10, saw a higher pass percentage of 73.77%. Out of the 2,619,111 candidates who appeared, 1,946,97 passed. Paper-2, for classes 11 and 12, witnessed a pass rate of 64.44%. Only 103,050 candidates out of 159,911 who took the exam emerged successful.
In a significant announcement, Bihar Board President Anand Kishore clarified that there will be no merit list released this year. Candidates will only see a pass or fail status. However, the good news is that those who passed are eligible to participate in the upcoming BPSC TRE (Teacher Recruitment Examination) 4.0.
