The exam structure for the EMRS Principal recruitment examination in 2025 consists of two stages of written examinations and an interview:
Tier I (Preliminary Examination): 100 marks worth of objective questions on reasoning, general awareness, academics, administration and language proficiency.
Tier II (Subject Knowledge Exam): 100 marks worth of objective and descriptive questions combined with a focus on academics, residential issues, administration and finance.
Tier III (Interview): The personal interaction carries a weightage of 20% to the final decision.
