Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2025 is a state-level examination conducted twice a year by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School, and specialist subjects across Kerala. KTET Eligibility 2025

KTET Eligibility 2025 requires candidates to be Indian citizens, with no upper age limit and a minimum age of 21 years. For Category I (Lower Primary, Classes 1–5), candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), or 50% marks with a 4-year B.El.Ed. or 2-year Diploma in Special Education. For Category II (Upper Primary, Classes 6–8), a BA/B.Sc./B.Com. with a 2-year D.El.Ed. or B.Ed., or equivalent qualifications, is required. Relaxations in marks are provided for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates.

KTET 2025 Application Form

The KTET 2025 Application Form is available online from 3 July to 10 July 2025. Candidates must visit the official KTET website, register with valid details, and fill out the application form by providing personal, educational, and category information. Uploading scanned copies of a recent photograph and signature is mandatory. 

The application fee—₹500 for General/OBC and ₹250 for SC/ST/PH—must be paid online to complete the process. After successful submission, candidates should download and print the confirmation page for future reference. Only applications with correct and complete details will be accepted for the KTET 2025 exam.

KTET Application Fee 2025

KTET Application Fee 2025 varies by category and must be paid online during the application process. General and OBC candidates are required to pay ₹500, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PH categories pay a reduced fee of ₹250. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. The application fee is non-refundable, and the process is completed only after successful payment.

KTET 2025 Exam Date 

KTET June 2025 exam is scheduled for 23 and 24 August 2025. On 23 August, exams for Category I (Lower Primary) and Category II (Upper Primary) will be conducted, while Category III (High School) and Category IV (Language and Specialist Teachers) will be held on 24 August. Each day features two shifts: morning (10:00 am – 12:30 pm) and afternoon (2:00 pm – 4:30 pm). The exam will be conducted offline (pen and paper mode). Admit cards will be available tentatively from 14 August 2025. Candidates should check the official website for updates and detailed instructions.

KTET Syllabus 2025

KTET Syllabus 2025 is structured across four categories: Category I (Lower Primary), Category II (Upper Primary), Category III (High School), and Category IV (Language/Specialist Teachers). Each category assesses candidates on relevant subjects, teaching aptitude, and pedagogical knowledge. For Category I, the syllabus includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Language I (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada), and Language II (English/Arabic). 

Category II covers similar topics with an emphasis on upper primary content, including Mathematics & Science or Social Science. Category III focuses on adolescent psychology, subject specialization, and pedagogy, while Category IV targets language proficiency and specialist subjects. All papers feature 150 multiple-choice questions, with no negative marking.

KTET Selection Process 2025

Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2025 is a state-level examination conducted twice a year by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School, and specialist subjects across Kerala. The exam follows the guidelines of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). KTET June 2025 consists of four separate papers for different teaching levels, each featuring 150 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 150 minutes. The exam is held offline in Malayalam, English, Tamil, or Kannada, and there is no negative marking.
