MTET Eligibility 2023: The Department of Education, Meghalaya has announced the MTET Eligibility 2023 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers. As per the Meghalaya TET Eligibility, the minimum age limit is 21 years whereas the upper age limit is 32 years for the unreserved candidate. Whereas, as per the MTET Educational Qualification, the candidates who have qualified class 12th from a recognised board along with a B.Ed degree are eligible to apply.

As per the MTET Eligibility 2023, the candidates who qualify for both age limit and educational qualification are eligible to appear for the exam. The minimum age limit for the Meghalaya TET 2023 exam is 21 years. Whereas, the board has announced separate educational qualifications for Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers. Candidates who qualify for all the basic MTET Eligibility will be allowed to participate in the exam.

MTET Age Limit 2023

The MTET Age Limit 2023 has been announced for Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers. The minimum age limit for the Meghalaya TET 2023 is going to be 21 years for the Teachers. Whereas, the upper age limit will vary based on the different categories. The maximum age limit to appear for the MTET 2023 exam is 32 years.

MTET Educational Qualification 2023

As per the MTET Eligibility 2023, the board has announced separate educational qualifications for the Primary teacher and the Upper Primary Teacher. The candidates have to qualify for the minimum educational qualification of Meghalaya TET to be able to write the examination.

Lower Primary Teacher Candidates appearing for the MTET 2023 exam should have qualified for class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates who belong to the reserved category must have secured 45% marks in aggregate. Those who have qualified for a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in accordance with NCTE regulations/four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/Diploma in Special Education are also eligible to apply.
Upper Primary Teacher Candidates should pass BA/BSc with at least 50 per cent aggregate and should clear a two-year D.El.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations/one-year B.Ed/four-year B.El.Ed/Diploma in Special Education. Candidates who have cleared Class 12 with at least 50 per cent aggregate and possess a four-year BA.Ed/Bsc.Ed degree are also eligible to apply for the exam.

MTET Nationality 2023

The candidates applying for the MTET 2023 exam should be a citizen of India. Whereas, those who are a permanent domicile of the Meghalaya state are also eligible to write the Meghalaya TET exam. These candidates will enjoy all the age relaxation rules applicable to them under the MTET Eligibility 2023.

MTET Scribe Facility

As per the MTET Eligibility 2023, there is no mention of a scribe facility for candidates who are physically disabled. This means that the candidates have to appear for the written examination on their own.

MTET Maximum Attempts

There is no mention of maximum attempts for the MTET 2023 candidates. This means that they can attempt the Meghalaya TET exam as long as they want to apply for the examination.

As per the MTET Exam Pattern 2023, the examination will be held for two papers. Paper 1 is designed for the candidates aspiring for the Primary Teacher profile.
