UGC NET Assamese Exam 2024 Eligibility

Due to security concerns, the UGC NET Assamese Exam 2024, which was originally scheduled for June, has been moved from August 21 to September 4, 2024. For candidates to be eligible for the 2024 UGC NET Assamese Exam, they must fulfil the following requirements: Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Assamese or a related subject.
  • Candidates who completed their PhD by September 19, 1991, are entitled to a 5% aggregate mark relaxation, or a reduction from 55% to 50%, to appear in the NET, regardless of the date of the result announcement.
  • Before December 1, 2002, candidates who completed the UGC-accredited State Eligibility Test were eligible to apply for Assistant Professor jobs in India, but only at universities or colleges in the state in which they passed the SET. They are also exempt from taking the NET.
Minimum Marks
  • In the UGC NET Assamese Exam 2024, candidates must receive at least 50% aggregate qualifying marks in the Reserved Categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and Transgender) and at least 55% aggregate qualifying marks in both papers combined for the General Category to be considered for Assistant Professor or JRF positions.
  • If you plan to take the test the year you graduate with your master's, make sure you can achieve the minimum % required when the results are announced.

Age Limit

  • Since there is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor positions with the UGC NET certification, anyone can take the exam and be eligible to be considered for these teaching positions.
  • To eligible applicants, the UGC NET offers Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs). JRFs have a 30-year age limit as of the start of the exam month and offer financing for research.

UGC NET Assamese Exam 2024 Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the UGC NET Exam Answer Key 2024 on its official website.
