UPSC Reserve List 2023
The UPSC Reserve List is a list of candidates who have qualified for the Civil Services Examination but did not make it to the final merit list. It is created to fill any remaining vacancies that may arise after the main selection process, ensuring that deserving candidates have a chance for appointment. This list is prepared based on merit and includes candidates from various categories. Those on the reserve list are called for selection if positions become available due to candidates declining offers or other reasons. This year, the result of the Civil Services Examination 2023 was announced on April 16, 2024, recommending 1,016 candidates in order of merit against a total of 1,143 vacancies. The press note also stated that, in accordance with Rules 20 (4) and 20 (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2023, the Commission has prepared a Consolidated UPSC Reserve List of candidates ranked below the last recommended candidate in their respective categories. Now, as requested by the Department of Personnel & Training (DOP&T), the Commission has now recommended an additional 120 candidates, including 88 from the General category, 5 from EWS, 23 from OBC, 3 from SC, and 1 from ST , to fill the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination 2023.UPSC CSE Result 2023 PDF Download Link
