To be eligible for RRB JE 2025, an applicant must be either:

(i) a citizen of India, or

(ii) a citizen of Nepal, or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan, or

(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RRB JE 2025 Selection Process

The RRB JE Selection Process consists of two stages viz. CBT I and CBT II to assess the knowledge of candidates across various subjects. Candidates need to clear both stages in order to get selected for the role of Junior Engineer:

• Stage I - The Stage I exam will be conducted via Computer-Based Mode consisting of 100 MCQ questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Science. Each question carries one mark for a correct answer and there is a penalty of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer. The exam spans 90 minutes and 30 minutes extra time will be provided to PwBD applicants with a Scribe
• Stage II - Stage II focuses on assessing the technical knowledge of aspirants in specialized subjects relevant to their engineering discipline. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark and 1/3 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The exam will end in a time duration of 2 hours.
• Document Verification - Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification to ensure candidates possess the essential requirements. The original documents and certificates of applicants will be checked by authorities.
• Medical Examination - Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination consisting of vision standards and other tests being conducted by authorized railway medical officers to assess candidates' physical fitness to ensure they can perform their duties effectively.
