The exam will be held in 3 shifts per day, Shift 1 (09:00 AM to 11:00 AM), Shift 2 (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM), and Shift 3 (05:00 PM to 07:00 PM). The Staff Selection Commission is set to host the SSC JE Exam on 5, 6 & 7 June 2024 in 134 cities across the country. Candidates who are going to take the SSC JE Exam 2024 must ensure they have to carry the items mentioned below:
SSC JE Admit Card 2024 -
Candidates need to bring the printout of the admit card downloaded on the official website of the regional offices. The Commission has uploaded the
SSC JE Admit Card 2024
for Tier 1 examination on all 9 regional websites. Moreover, aspirants must cross-check their Name, Roll Number, Ticket Number, date, time, and venue for the examination given in the Admission Certificate. If any mistakes are found in the details you should immediately get in touch with the concerned Regional Office and get the necessary corrections made in the Admission Certificate.
Identity Proof -
Aspirants are required to carry government-issued original photo identity proof documents like an Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc. for the verification process.
Passport Size Photographs -
Additionally, the aspirants need to bring two passport-sized colored photographs to the exam centre for document verification.
Additional Items -
In addition to these, candidates may also carry a transparent water bottle, handkerchief, or medicine (if required) at the test centre. Students carrying additional items should inform the invigilator before entering the exam hall.
SSC JE 2024 Exam Day Tips
To participate in the SSC JE Exam 2024 by avoid the last-time glitches, candidates must follow the most useful tips provided below:
Arrival at Exam Centre -
The aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the reporting time. You must verify your test centre code and address to avoid any glitches.
Electronic Gadgets -
Don't carry electronic gadgets like smartphones, smart watches, calculators, pen cameras, Bluetooth devices, etc. at the exam centre. Electronic items are strictly prohibited at the test center.
COVID-19 Precautions -
You must follow the Covid-19 guidelines at the exam centre such as weak mask, using hand sanitizer, and maintaining social distancing to avoid the risk of any health issues.
Others -
The aspirants must ensure they do not carry study notes, papers, books, or any study resources to the exam hall. You should follow these instructions strictly and note that if candidates are found to indulge at any stage in any of the malpractices during the conduct of examination or thereafter, their candidature for this Examination will be canceled and, in addition to the legal action that may be taken in accordance with the law in force, they will be debarred from the examinations of the Commission for the specific period.
Candidates must be well aware of the exam format to know the structure of question papers that appear in the actual exam. The SSC JE Tier 1 exam will consist of 200 questions from General Awareness, Reasoning and Specific Engineering Discipline related subjects.
The questions will be there in multiple choice format and each question will award 1 mark for correct attempt. The duration to attempt the question paper will be 120 minutes and the negative marking will be applicable for 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
