UPPSC AE Mains Exam 2025 Cancelled

The UPPSC AE Mains Exam 2025 has been officially cancelled following recent developments and a court order demanding revision of the Preliminary Result merit list which was scheduled for 28, 29 September 2025. The decision comes after certain discrepancies were highlighted regarding the inclusion of eligible candidates across categories. As a result, the commission will revise the Prelims results before proceeding with further recruitment steps. Candidates who qualified the preliminary exam should await updates on the revised schedule and instructions from UPPSC. This cancellation marks a significant change in the selection process for the 604 Assistant Engineer vacancies.

UPPSC AE Exam 2025 Overview 

Candidates who have registered for 604 Assistant Engineer positions from 17th December 2024 to 17th January 2025 must mark the calendar as per the exam dates to prepare effectively. The UPPSC AE exam consists of three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains, and Interview to select desirable candidates.

UPPSC AE Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The prelims exam consists of 200 questions from General Knowledge, General Hindi and Engineering Aptitude. Each question carries two marks with a total of 300 marks. The time duration for the examination will be 2 hours. There will be a negative marking of -1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.

UPPSC AE Mains Exam Pattern 2025

The mains examination consists of two papers carrying 125 marks each with a total of 375 marks. For each paper, candidates will have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each correct answer will award 3 marks and -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
