A candidate must satisfy any one of the following nationality conditions:
Citizen of India; or
Subject of Nepal; or
Subject of Bhutan; or
Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

SC/ST/OBC candidates who also belong to eligible Ex-servicemen or PwBD categories can avail cumulative age relaxation wherever applicable.
The maximum age limit (30 years) applies to General and EWS candidates.
Candidates claiming age relaxation must produce valid supporting certificates during document verification/interview.
OBC candidates must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued in the prescribed format.
EWS candidates must submit a valid Income & Asset Certificate for the applicable financial year.
Candidates applying for the post of Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) must possess a four-year degree in any of the following disciplines:

Changes in category or eligibility details are not permitted after the application correction window closes.
