FSSAI Exam overview

FSSAI exam 2025 is a national-level recruitment test that the FSSAI will hold eventually to recruit against vacancies for the posts of Central Food Safety Officer, Technical Officer, and Assistant. FSSAI lacks an interview round for this examination and has prepared it to be a computer-based test.

There are two stages of examination conducted by FSSAI. Stage 1 has objective-type questions on Part A and Part B. Stage 1 will consist of 120 objective-type questions (divided into Part A and Part B), to be done in two hours. Part A will consist of questions on General Aptitude and Computer Literacy, such as General Intelligence, General Awareness, English, and Computer Literacy. Part B will consist of knowledge of food laws, the constitutions of FSSAI, major roles of FSSAI, principles of food chemistry, fundamentals of Food Microbiology, Hygiene, Nutrition, Food Adulteration, and Food Analysis. The overall merit list is generated on the basis of the aggregate score among both stages of examination, which defines the final selection list.
