COAL AND PETROLEUM

We explore the fuel resources in this chapter. We are aware of the heavy usage of fuel resources, but do we know how and from where do we get these from. Science and technology is applied to actually obtain the products required. We should know the products, their physical and chemical properties and the process involved in obtaining the final product. These products are useful in every form. 

We should be aware that the coal and petroleum products are exhaustible and we have to be cautions in using them.

INEXHAUSTIBLE NATURAL RESOURCES:

These resources are present in unlimited quantity in nature and are not likely to be exhausted by human activities. Examples are: sunlight, air.

EXHAUSTIBLE NATURAL RESOURCES:

The amount of these resources in nature is limited. They can be exhausted by human activities. Examples of these resources are forests, wildlife, minerals, coal, petroleum, natural gas etc.To score More in your class 8 refer NCERT solutions for class 8 .
