Is CSEET Exam Tough or Easy?

CSEET, or the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test, is your ticket to entering the Company Secretary course, overseen by the ICSI. This profession is highly esteemed and in demand. Aspiring CS professionals must clear the CSEET exam to secure a spot in this prestigious program.

The exam is held four times a year in January, May, July, and November. Registration opened till June 15, 2024. To enroll, students must complete the admission form and pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000. For exam form details, visit the official ICSI website or check out our blog.

CSEET Exam Pattern

The CSEET exam pattern covers four subjects: business communication, legal aptitude and logical reasoning, economics and business environment, and current affairs. Students take all four subjects in one sitting, with each subject worth a maximum of 20 marks. To pass, students need to score at least 40% in each subject, totaling 100 marks overall. If students meet both conditions, they pass and can start preparing for the executive exams. However, if they score less than 100 marks overall or less than 20 marks in any subject, they fail. Notably, there's no penalty for wrong answers.

What to Study for CSEET?

When preparing for the CSEET exam, many students often ask what they should study. The CSEET syllabus is divided into four modules provided by ICSI. These modules are readily accessible on the ICSI website for students to use in their preparation. For those who prefer self-study, it's recommended to make use of the study materials provided by ICSI. Additionally, the Unique Academy of Commerce offers free video lectures and study materials that can be beneficial. It's important to stay updated on any amendments or changes made to the subjects as well.

How Many Hours Does It Take To Study for CSEET?

On average, students should dedicate about 4 to 5 hours daily to prepare for all subjects adequately. Yet, keep in mind this is just a general guideline as the actual time needed can vary based on individual factors like your focus, capacity, and the topics you're covering. Regardless of the hours you put in, it's crucial to maintain peak efficiency during your study sessions to maximize learning outcomes.

CSEET Exam Preparation

Prepare thoroughly for the CSEET exams by focusing on one thing: studying. There's no easy way around it. Use your textbooks, create your own study notes, take practice tests, and minimize distractions to stay on track and healthy. Here are some key strategies to ace the CSEET on your first try:
  1. Identify your strengths: CSEET subjects often overlap with your class 12 topics. Focus on areas where you excel or have a strong interest. This ensures you secure the necessary 100 marks to pass.
  2. Master each subject's unique aspects: Paper 1 emphasizes business communication and vocabulary, assessing your fluency. Paper 2 tests your legal understanding. These papers gauge your affinity for law, which is crucial for your future CS course.
  3. Review familiar topics: Paper 3 covers economics, similar to what you studied in class 12. Brush up on old concepts and grasp new ones to breeze through this section.
  4. Stay updated on current affairs: The final subject tests your knowledge of current events. Regularly follow the news to tackle this challenge effectively.
  5. Maintain consistency: Consistency beats intensity. Study regularly, even if it's just for a couple of hours a day. What matters is your ability to sustain this routine until exam day and study efficiently throughout.
By following these strategies diligently, you can confidently pass the CSEET on your first attempt. Prepare for CSEET with our PW Company Secretary Courses. Get comprehensive study materials, expert guidance, and ace your exam with confidence. Enroll now for success!
